Kenny

A man sits at his desk reading. He is lit by a warm light which contrasts with cooler colors streaming in from behind him. He is surrounded by his things and is engrossed in them.

I painted this as a thank-you to a friend for modeling for me. He allowed me to mess up his space in order to get a good reference photo. I used a modified Zorn palette invented by Anders Zorn (Swedish artist, 1860-1920) to achieve the balance between the extreme warm tones and extreme cool tones found in the reference photo I took. The picture here does not do it justice. I gave it to my friend as a gift.

This oil painting is on a 12x9x1.5 inches canvas.
